PRODUCT GUIDE

The artwork and the guard do different jobs.

Before choosing a design, it helps to be clear about what you already have on your wheelchair and what you are requesting.

YOUR DESIGN. READY FOR YOUR WHEELS.

What arrives at your door?

Already have spoke guards? Choose stickers only. Need the guards too? They arrive with your stickers already fitted.

Meet the spoke guard

A spoke guard is the plastic panel that sits over the wheel’s spokes, helping reduce the chance of fingers getting caught. Our black guards are gently domed, with a centre opening and pre-drilled fixing holes. Clear cable ties fasten the guard to the spokes.

Your sticker adds the personality and goes onto the plastic guard — never directly onto the spokes.

Why is there a slit in the sticker?

It’s a fitting cut, made on purpose. Our guards curve gently outwards rather than lying flat. A cut from the centre opening to the outer edge lets the vinyl overlap by around 5 mm, helping it sit smoothly over that shape.

We position the cut to avoid names and lettering. The illustration shows an example position; the cut and overlap may be visible on the finished sticker.

A small fitting cut allows an overlap.

Fitting your stickers & spoke guards

Stickers only? Here’s how to fit them.

  1. Mist the guard

Lightly spray the surface of your plastic spoke guard.

  2. Peel & mist

Leave the rectangular backing sheet flat. Peel up one of the two stickers, then lightly spray its grey adhesive side.

  3. Position your design

Place the sticker onto the guard and slide it into position.

  4. Smooth it down

Smooth the sticker with a clean towel to remove excess water.

Ordered stickers + guards? We do these steps for you before posting.

Fasten the guards to your wheels

Our guards have three pairs of small, closely spaced holes. Starting behind the guard, feed a supplied clear tie through one hole and back through its neighbour. Fasten it around the nearest spoke at the back. Repeat for all three pairs.
